Spinach Pesto

What you need

  • 1 bunch Fresh spinach, washed
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml)Heart Shape Culinary Pure Flax Oil or Heart Shape Italian Seasoning Oil
  • 2 Tbsp (30 ml) Pine nuts
  • 4 Tbsp (60 ml) Parmesan or Romano cheese (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp (1 ml) Sea salt
  • Pepper, to taste

Make it
Place spinach, garlic, pine nuts, salt and pepper in food processor. Gradually add oil; blend until it is the consistency of mayonnaise. Can be stored frozen – in small portions. Add cheese when ready to serve. Serve with your favourite past.
